Susan Shaw was born in Durham, North Carolina, in 1965. As she grew up, she spent many years in the Midwest then Arizona before returning in 1999 to the Carolinas, where her heart had always remained. She now lives in Concord, North Carolina with her sweet dog, Scarlett, whom she thoroughly loves to spoil.

The youngest of three children, Susan grew up in a close-knit family, and considers her family and her faith to be the most important priorities in her life. She enjoys spending quality time with her daughters, their husbands, and her precious grandchildren, all of whom also live in North Carolina. She sings in the Worship Band with her church of more than fifteen years and works for an environmental company that she has been with for nearly twenty-four years. In her spare time, she enjoys playing guitar, playing competitive pool, and ‘power walking’ in the park with her best friend. 

She is an avid reader, but “Journey of Faith” is her first venture into writing a book of her own.
